How to Beat the Dog Races AUTHOR'S BIOGRAPHY
William E. ("Bad Bill") McBride was the author of the 1983 book, GAMBLING TIMES GUIDE TO GREYHOUND RACING. This book was also reprinted as the AGTOA GUIDE TO GREYHOUND RACING, and became the best selling book of all time in this field.
Bill has also been a columnist and writer for several magazines, including: GAMBLING TIMES; THE RACING GREYHOUND; and WIN magazine, and is also currently writing for PRACTICAL PUNTING MONTHLY, an Australian racing magazine, and occasionally for GREYHOUND MONTHLY, in the United Kingdom.
His input is featured on a number of Internet forums which involve greyhound racing.
A retired businessman, Bill has won his State's "Small Business Person" award, (Just missing out on the National title to Ben & Jerry, the ice cream gurus).
He has visited most of the 55 greyhound tracks in the U.S.A., and has often been interviewed on radio talk shows in some of those areas.
His other hobbies, SCUBA diving and boating, have taken him and his wife Alice all around the world.
At home, he gardens, hikes, and writes.
